I am a Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor. I obtained my registration as a qualified Psychologist in 2009, and licensed as a Board Approved Supervisor in 2012.
I run a private practice in Burleigh Heads, Queensland, where I see individuals, supervisees, facilitate a process group, lead a training group for therapists and develop and teach courses on Psychoanalysis.
Professional Training
I have completed a Bachelor degree, Post Graduate degree and Masters in Research Psychology.
I am currently enrolled in the Postgraduate Certificate in Psychoanalysis program at the Academy of Clinical and Applied Psychoanalysis in New Jersey, United States. This training involves my own analysis, ongoing supervision, research, fieldwork and coursework within the field of Psychoanalysis.
I am a member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) and the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA).
Approach
My approach is integrative however I am well versed in both Modern Analysis and Relational Psychoanalysis. I find Psychoanalysis gives shape and texture to experiences in life, and offers a deeper understanding and connection with self, others and the world at large.
I am passionate and committed to my own continuous learning and professional development. I enjoy working with therapists who share the same passion and commitment. I enjoy connecting with others and engaging in the development of psychoanalytic thinking and its creative pursuits.
I work face to face and over the phone with patients and therapists. I do limited work over Zoom.
