Rachael enjoys connecting with others and engaging in the development of psychoanalytic thinking and creative pursuits. She is drawn to psychoanalysis and the relational approach. She finds these give shape and meaning to experiences in life, and offer a deeper understanding and connection with self, others and the world at large.
Professional Training
Rachael has completed over 8 years of formal education. Upon completing a four year undergraduate degree, Rachael undertook two years of postgraduate training. This involved training in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of mental health and psychological problems. Rachael submitted a significant research project in psychology and has a thorough understanding of the ethics and the legalities involved with therapeutic treatment. To broaden her understanding of the human aspect of the profession, Rachael conducted a psychoanalytic enquiry into the subject of gender which awarded her a Masters degree by research (MPhil) in Psychology.
Rachael is both passionate and committed to continuous learning and professional development.
She is a member of The International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy (IARPP) and The American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA)
