Rachael is a Psychologist and Board Approved Supervisor. She has been working as a Psychologist for more than 15 years and supervising psychologists for more than 10 years. She runs a private practice in Burleigh Heads, Queensland where she sees individuals, supervisees, facilitates a process group and teaches courses on Psychoanalytic Diagnosis and Relational Psychoanalysis. Her approach is integrative however she draws largely from Relational Psychoanalysis, with a focus on both intrapsychic and interpersonal processes. She has experience working in both the public and private sector as an individual and group therapist. She enjoys working with individuals and groups who are grappling with a range of life’s challenges and what it means to be human, including relationship challenges, trauma, grief, identity, gender, sexuality, addiction, parenting and meaning making. Using a relational psychodynamic approach, Rachael offers a supportive environment in which she operates according to the belief that an individual can achieve meaningful changes in their lives through insight, understanding and validation. She is available for both face to face and phone sessions.
