Individual Therapy

I offer long-term individual psychotherapy. I work with patients lying on the couch, sitting up face to face or over the phone.

My focus is less on symptoms and pathology, and more on guiding patients through emotional and relational milestones to mature into adults capable of creating the life they want to live. I work with people rather than diagnoses.

In my experience, most of our troubles come from avoiding feelings we dislike, or which frighten us. I enjoy helping patients gain strength and courage to move towards these feelings, rather than away from them. This leads to internal freedom, which ultimately gives us choices in life and the opportunity to act in more conscious ways. These feelings can relate to many of life’s challenges and what it means to be human, including relationship challenges, trauma, grief, identity, gender, sexuality, addiction, parenting and generally feeling lost and disconnected.

Process Groups

I lead an in-person process group on Mondays from 4pm-5:30pm.

A process group is a group of brave individuals who come together each week and explore together their feelings, how they impact each other, how they feel about each other and to share their life story. It’s a space to be known. It’s a space to deepen one’s understanding of oneself.

Group is not for the faint-hearted. It can be intense; it can stir up all the feelings. It’s supposed to, so that you get support and guidance in real time, on how to understand your feelings and responses as well as how to communicate them. But most of all, given it’s all about self-exploration and exploration of relationships -- it can be fun!
